Tie Clip | Beatles memorabilia

Need that perfect accessory that screams 'you'? Were you rummaging through your drawer for something resembling a "looking-glass tie"? Grab the official "Beatles Tie Clip" and stand out in the crowd.
Manufactured by Press Initial Corporation, Providence, Rhode Island, it was a 1" brass/bronze disc featuring the Beatles' faces embossed on the front and a tie clip fastener on the back. Two backing cards were used; the original backer card was marked by NEMS Enterprises Ltd. 1964 and had a ½" color photo disc on the front. Another card contained a starburst design with the band's names and faces on a drumhead. The reproduction card for this design included a fuzzy photo; the hair detail was not precise, and the colors were washed out.

PRESS-Initial also made a black-and-white backing card with the Dezo Hoffmann photo and the Beatles bass drumhead graphic. It said, "Official Tie Clip...the ONLY official licensee with exclusive rights for the manufacture and distribution of Beatles Tie Clips. Mfg. and printed in USA by PRESS-Initial Corp. Prov. R.I."
On the original card, you could see the fine detail of the band's hair. On the reproduction card, the details are not precise. The original card has perforation dots that run vertically to the edges. The reproduction cards contained dashes that ended before reaching the side of the card.
Press Initial Corp. & Harry Klitziner Co. Inc
The Seltaeb agreement was with Press Initial, 44 Warren Street, Providence, Rhode Island.

Press Initial Corp. & Harry Klitziner Co. Inc. was named in a NEMS Enterprises, Ltd vs. Seltaeb, Incorporated lawsuit filed in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, First Judicial Department, dated: New York, New York, July 6, 1965. Their company received a letter on March 30, 1965, about an “amended complaint” pertaining to the lawsuit. Their representative, Robert A. Klitzner, also “wanted to know whether our contract with [Seltaeb] was still in effect.”
Press Initial’s “pen” was licensed “through England.” Seltaeb had rights only to fountain pens, but Press Initial wanted a ballpoint pen. So they had to license it through NEMS.
